#TBT Gallery: Check out This Yamahauler I Spotted!

By Will Burgess

Thursday already? Well, here’s something that should brighten your day the way this guy’s cool Yamahauler wagon brightened mine! I caught this sweet whip driving up north in Elk Rapids, Mich.

It’s a Dodge Sportsman, circa 1975, that’s been decked out in all these retro decals.

The original 1972 Yamahauler was a Dodge Tradesman painted canary yellow with similar decals in stark black and white. It was designed to haul two Yamaha enduro dirtbikes in that same yellow with black and white motif. Only one was ever built as the grand prize in a sweepstakes in Hot Rod magazine, but it inspired many tribute vans, just like this one!

After I snapped about a dozen photos, this boogie van had to move on to other pastures.
I had a great time chatting with the owner, and I wished him and his really cool dog many happy trails. Hope to catch you again!
