To support those affected, Suzuki Motor Corporation has donated a total of one million Euros (approximately $1.1 million) to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on behalf of Suzuki and the Suzuki Group companies in Europe.

Honda Motor Corporation has also followed through with another one million Euro donation to the Japanese Red Cross in order to provide humanitarian aid both in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
At the time of announcement, Honda stated as part of its existing HondaGO Give program, the company’s US operations will match donations made by associates who wish to support organizations providing aid to those impacted up to $1,000 per associate per fiscal year.

Yamaha is the latest major Japanese powersports company to announce a donation of $700,000 to the nonprofit organization Japan Platform. Yamaha has stated these funds “will be used explicitly for delivering humanitarian aid to those in need.”

In a statement from Suzuki Motor Corp released on Mar. 11 they said, “The donation can help ensure that those forced to flee their homes are sheltered and safe,” and they sincerely hope, “this crisis will end as soon as possible, and that there will be peace for all.”
Suzuki is encouraging others to learn more about the United Nations relief effort and to inquire how you may provide humanitarian support for those affected in Ukraine. To donate, please visit: http://www.un.org/en/ukrainecrisisresponse/donate
